If you know anything about my vintage pop culture junkie ways is that I do ridiculous tie-ins to the eras I’m interested in. As we creeped into 2016, which makes 1966 50 years ago, I thought of an Oldsmobile slogan from that year as I started to craft the first mix I’ll be creating in this new year.

I went big as the Motor Trend Car of The Year winning Olds Toronado with this mix, chockful of things original audiences might have overlooked between January and December as the 2nd half of the 1960’s got underway. You’ll find B-sides, Album Tracks and unreleased gems from sea to shining sea in about 100 minutes of Soulful gems you might not know from 1966.

The names vary from bright stars like Marvin Gaye, The Temptations to people you *should* know and love like Lorraine Chandler. Here’s hoping you’ll have proper Stepping Out music, or something to help the transition back to workday doldrums with this latest mix.
