Magic Brews and Spells For You: Halloween Harmonies Volume 1

I heard the clarion call for frightening soul when fellow DJ Miss Yes complained that she was already maxed out on “The Monster Mash.” Although there’s really plenty of Halloween specific songs to go around, there’s plenty of dark, thrilling and noir songs to go around for this season that thins the veils and gets us ready for the death that cycles back to new life.

tumblr_mu9dytaabt1rhhnauo1_1280As Libra Sun wanes and heads towards Scorpio, we have 42 songs spanning 21 years of the deeper, darker and shadier places of vinyl and beyond. Matters of the heart haunt through these runs of songs, so there’s more than a fair share of Spells, Hexes, Voodoo Magic and intoxicating brews over this Hour & 45 minute trip.

So bob for apples, trick for treats, drink the magic party punch and cuddle up with these candied delights and naughty bits as the season continues to delight us as we start winding down what has been a remarkably complex year. Bless be these bewitching days.
