As the veil gets thinner between Libra and Scorpio, the days draw down more rapidly and the night expands, things get a little strange indeed. So it seems the perfect time to track down some more magical, mystical soul songs to feature these next 2 or so weeks.

We’re starting off with the more delightful side of magic with Billy Stewart’s lilting 2nd chart entry from 1963. We’re along the side of casting a dream spell that falling for someone typically does for most. We’ll reserve the darker themes and the transcendence for other lovely soul records over the next few days. Of course, this early effort by Stewart gets overlooked in contrast to his bigger hits from 1965-66, but his whole catalog deserves an overview, especially during these increasingly cozy days with warm beverages.
